Design, Production and Handling of Microparts
Challenge
Aspects of the project such as the mould design and handling systems for micro parts have not been studied by the sector. Since this is a pressing need, the co-promoters propose to create knowledge in these areas which will lead to the development of new technical skills and technological methodologies and the systematisation of knowledge necessary to standardise the design solutions for micro part and micro mould manufacture.
Solution
Microhandling aims to develop and implement a new chain for the production of micro parts which will efficiently integrate all assembly systems for moulds and microinjection parts. The client will be involved in each part of the process from design to manufacture and packaging processes, among others. This production chain aims to reduce manufacturing time, increase quality and provide an efficient response to the high demand market for knowledge to achieve common objectives of promoting the competitiveness of the national engineering and tooling sector.
