The new coronavirus, called SARS-CoV-2, is a virus that, usually affects the respiratory system. Due to the exponential number of infected cases, and to the limited information related with the patients’ clinical information, in the admission, treatment and readmission process, it is often difficult to guarantee a permanent flow of shared clinic information.
This project aimed developing a holistic and interoperable model between systems that allows a permanent flow of information sharing in three scenarios: Respond, Recover and Thrive. These scenarios are aimed at providing to the hospital units a holistic system that allows a more efficient, agile and innovative service, in response to new contagion outbreaks, during the treatment of infect patients and in the patients’ readmission with new symptoms of Covid-19 or associates comorbidities.
The expected and achieved results of the project included the development of a model that will integrate the three scenarios identified above, called Health Medical Response and Information Exchange (HMR-IE).
