WE Go! is designed to address the unique needs of Female Entrepreneurs in Healthtech. We bring together elements of entrepreneurship training through a gender lens to help startups idenfy, strengthen and leverage diversity to build balanced, high growth companies. WE Go! takes a needs-led approach, building on founder interviews to deliver a programme catered to the real needs of female founders and male founders commied to diversity in leadership. The program is delivered by a selecon of experienced partners to bring collecve best pracce into one bootcamp. Research clearly demonstrates that women led or mixed gender team startups are more likely to succeed than all-male companies. WE Go! will lean into the advantages of diversity by surrounding the founders with experienced female entrepreneurs and investors to insl the nuanced advantages diversity brings, creang a cohort of empowered female founders and male founders commied to championing diversity in leadership.
WE Go! is an intense health tech entrepreneurship training and women ecosystem building project with two objecves. First is to increase the amount of female entrepreneurs starng companies by providing targeted support to meet their unique challenges. The second is to increase the potenal of female entrepreneurs by engaging them with a strong and experienced network of mentors. We will leverage the necessary network of experienced entrepreneurs to help women led companies to emerge successful. This program will consist of 4 in person training modules in Galway, Coimbra, Barcelona and London. NUI Galway will train parcipants in Customer and Communicaon. They will iniate the parcipants with training on customer engagement, validaon and communicaon. The second module in IPN will train on Leadership and Risk. They will provide an overview on risk management and regulaon and how to effecvely assess and respond to these challenges through planning. At IESE, parcipants will learn about Finance and Team Building. They will teach the foundaons of finance and fundraising and spend me reflecng on co-founder alignment, team balance and growth. The final module at Imperial College Health Partners will be a deep dive into penetrang the NHS and raising money. There will be heavy engagement with investors.
WeGo! presents a unique opportunity to consolidate and share the most effective tools and one-on-one contacts to make women-led startups more successful in the healthcare space across Europe. Both in terms of networking between mentors and trainees, as well as networking between mentors – investors and founders – will encourage cross-border collaboration and support for the broader ecosystem.
