Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is a partner of the new European project COP-PILOT – Collaborative Open Platform for PILOTing services across emerging smart IoT and Edge computing environments, an Innovation Action funded by the EU Horizon Europe programme.

The project aims to develop an open collaborative platform that enables end-to-end orchestration across service domains, fostering cross-sector collaboration, innovation, and societal impact.
By integrating novel AI-driven tools, SLA-preserving automation, and secure infrastructure, COP-PILOT will be piloted in real-world applications across energy, smart cities, agriculture, and manufacturing.
IPN participates as a research and academic partner in Work Packages 2, 3, and 7, contributing to:
