Applications are now open for the training programme promoted by Instituto Pedro Nunes, the Bissaya Barreto Foundation and Coimbra Coolectiva, as part of the first senior entrepreneurship and impact incubator in Coimbra. This programme is aimed at those who have an innovative idea or want to develop a business.

The Fator C'Idade project, a pioneer in the area of active and healthy ageing, announces the opening of registration for its Capacity Building Programme. It's a 100 per cent free opportunity to turn ideas into innovative solutions for active and healthy ageing.
At the kick-off event, held on 29 March at the Bissaya Barreto Foundation, around 40 participants presented 19 business ideas. Fator C'Idade invites new interested parties to move on to the training stage, offering more detailed and in-depth monitoring of each idea.

The programme is aimed at three types of participants: people over 50 who want to turn an idea into a business; people of all ages interested in promoting a social project that contributes to active and healthy ageing; and people who want to create or adapt a business for the senior public.
Lasting six weeks, the programme combines online and face-to-face sessions designed to turn ideas into real impact projects, providing practical training, expert mentoring and a collaborative environment to test and validate initiatives.

- 16 April (online): 12:00 to 13:30
- 23 April (online): 12:00 to 13:30
- 30 April (face-to-face): 16:30 to 20:30, at IPN, Coimbra
- 7 May (online): 12:00 to 13:30
- 14 May (face-to-face): 10:00 to 18:00, at IPN, Coimbra
The 14 May session culminates in a Demo Day, where the projects will be presented publicly in the afternoon.
Co-funded by the European Union under the Portugal Social Innovation programme, this initiative has the support of strategic partners such as Black Monster Media, Coimbra City Council, Climacer and Global Elderly Health Care.
