On 5 and 6 February 2025, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) held the training ‘From Concept to Funding: Crafting Successful Horizon Europe Proposals’, bringing together researchers, research managers, private companies and public entities interested in applying to the Horizon Europe programme.
This initiative provided a dynamic and interactive environment, enabling participants to draw up competitive proposals for Horizon Europe's RIA, IA and CSA instruments. Among the main topics covered were the formulation of project ideas, the effective structuring of consortia, and the definition of strategies to achieve research objectives.
For 14 hours, participants had the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in practical exercises and simulations, with a focus on building the Impact, Implementation and Excellence sections. Strategies for disseminating and exploiting results and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence tools in proposal writing were also explored.
The training was led by Marco Liviantoni, a specialist in applications for European funding and founder of Liviantoni Consulting.
