Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) was present at the
Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) conference, which took place in Rimini, Italy, was organized by
DG REGIO and the
S3 Community of Practice. This conference gathered key stakeholders, decision makers, experts and S3 practitioners to network, discuss policy and implementation, and share best practices for S3 strategies.
Cristiana Costa, Coordinator of the R&D Impact Unit of IPN, was invited by DG REGIO to present a poster on the
VR Health Champions, a new European project, coordinated by IPN and with 18 international partners, counting with the participation of the startup
Virtuleap and the
Local Health Unit of Coimbra (ULS Coimbra) as the portuguese partners.
VR Health Champions aims to accelerate the adoption of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in the health sector. Funded by the
I3 programme, the project aims to support SMEs from less developed regions in overcoming market entry barriers in Europe, in order to boost the advancement of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) applications.
