Students from University of Coimbra explore innovation in energy at IPN during the Energy Forum

A group of students from the University of Coimbra visited Instituto Pedro Nunes, as part of the 1st edition of the IEEE Power & Energy Society’s Energy Forum, on May 8th of 2024.
The Energy Forum is an event dedicated to the vital areas of energy systems, electric motors and drives and sustainability.
Students from areas as diverse as Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Chemical Engineering had the opportunity to get to know the Institute and its mission of innovation, research and entrepreneurship, guided by Marta Salgado Matos, Communication and Marketing Manager.

The incubated companies Sciven, build.ing and Enging were also a part of the programme, presenting their mission and products.
Juliana Maschamann presented Sciven, a company dedicated to developing solutions in the energy production and heating sector, with the mission of optimizing energetic processes, boosting efficiency, reducing costs and the ecological footprint.

Elias Silva represented build.ing, that presents sustainable and innovative solutions for the construction industry, using an AI based software to reduce costs and make the sector more ecological.

Gualter Sampaio introduced Enging - Make Solutions SA, which focuses on developing digital predictive maintenance solutions for industrial equipment, without the need for specialized technicians.
