Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from a delegation of Supera Park and the company Kimera BioTechnology from Brazil, on 23 October of 2024, as part of a partnership between IPN and Supera Park, with the aim to strengthen the bonds between the institutions.
The delegation was welcomed by João Gabriel Silva, President of IPN’s Board, Rui Miranda, Coordinator of the Business Accelerator, and José Rodrigues, Business Developer of IPN.
During the visit, IPN’s representatives, presented the various activities carried out by the institution,with the emphasis on the incubation and acceleration of startups, the promotion of innovation and applied scientific research. The two institutions also debated the possibility of supporting Kimera in the process of entering the European market.
The group also had the opportunity to explore innovative projects in development at IPN, with a special focus on polymers.
To conclude, the delegation got to know two companies, Mitotag, a biotechnology company specialising in antioxidants targeting mitochondria, developing systems that deliver antioxidants and other bioactive molecules directly to cellular energy sources to protect them from damage, and Equigerminal, a startup dedicated to developing solutions for equine and other pets’ health.
