Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) organised the
Coimbra Local Joint Training of the
EIT Jumpstarter programme, which took place between 11th and 13th September, at IPN’s facilities.
For three days, of the eighty selected teams for this phase of the programme, Coimbra hosted seis:
Ecosoil,
Farm Akademy,
Biochip-Pathfinder,
E-Skins,
NexThera Tech and
TargetMI.
Over the three days of training, the teams benefited from orientation of IPN experts.
Clara Luxo Correia, Innovation Manager at IPN, who talked about innovation, business and team management and marketing. Meanwhile
José Ricardo Aguilar, Director of IPN’s Legal and Intellectual Property Department, highlighted the crucial role of intellectual property (IP) in the development of ideas. And
Jorge Pimenta, IPN’s Director of Innovation, shared practical knowledge on pitch preparation, structuring and presentation of slides and investment.
EIT Jumpstarter aims to capacitate startups to develop and validate the most suitable business model for their idea. Through various activities, the participating startups can deepen their knowledge in topics such as market segmentation, customer value, financials, investment and legal affairs.
The teams that participated in this programme leave not only with a validated business model, but also with the necessary skills to launch their startups onto the market.
