Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) organised a series of webinars dedicated to the internationalisation of startups, carried out between June and October of 2024, events that counted with the participation of more than 50 startups and more than 20 internationalisation experts.

Organised as part of Pro-Global - Acceleration Programme for Internationalisation, the webinars addressed the challenges and internationalisation opportunities in strategic markets such as Germany, Brazil, France, Spain, United States, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Sweden, Ireland, China and The Netherlands.

The participants had the opportunity to interact with local representatives of the Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP) in each one of the countries as well as local partners. The discussed topics included an analysis of each market, the best strategies for establishing business deals and partnerships, and the programmes and incentives available for startups. The webinars allowed the participating startups to deepen their knowledge on international markets, identify potential partners, get to know programmes and incentives available and establish contacts with experts and other entrepreneurs.

This series of webinars counted with the presence of speakers such as Rui Boavista Marques, Francisco Costa, Eduardo Henriques, Manuel Garnica, Teresa Fernandes, Manuel Miranda, Bruno Lopes, Miguel Garcia, Miguel Fontoura, Luís Reis, Luís Costa, Rui Paulo Almas and Mariana Carvalho of AICEP, Paula Regina Decker and Reyes Sansegundo of the Enterprise Europe Network, Rodrigo Olmedo and Rafael Rodrigues of uGlobally, Pierre Basséras of Choose Paris, Fernando Rocha of the Portuguese Innovation Society (SPI), Yuta Iguchi of Million Steps, Sasan Shaba of Swedish Incubators and Science Parks, Paul Hennessy of Decorify and Alession Petino from EU SME Centre.
