A model to save money on building work, a legal chatbot that speeds up the work of lawyers, a platform to identify young football talent and a virtual assistant to help farmers are some of the promising projects taking part in the ATTRACT accelerator programme.

On Friday 29 November, 12 technology projects participating in ATTRACT, a programme for early-stage startups with solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC) powered by Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), will be publicly presented to an audience of investors, stakeholders, experts and potential clients. During three sessions, the 12 participating teams had access to workshops, AI founders talks and mentoring sessions which covered topics such as business models, guidance for developing products and businesses based on AI or HPC, funding opportunities, intellectual property, and the ethical and regulatory context of AI.


Among the projects, numerous innovative ideas were developed, related to the legal, health, construction, and agricultural sectors, among others.

The build.ing team developed a model for saving 15 percent on the total cost of a construction project. Using AI, this project analyses various construction scenarios based on the client's objectives and selects the most economical and sustainable options, making the whole process more efficient and faster.

ByTheLaw is a platform that aims to facilitate the administrative work carried out by lawyers. It uses a chatbot interface to provide practical information, such as the probability of success of a case and time/cost estimates, among others, saving law firms and legal departments time and money.

Central Press empowers local media with advanced tools to increase efficiency, content creation, and revenue. These services rival those of digital giants such as Google and Meta, allowing smaller media outlets to compete effectively.

Cobbalto develops AI-powered security cameras with a user-friendly mobile app interface. Its first product is aimed at consumers, but it plans to expand into B2B with Edge AI solutions.

Ednu.ai is the company responsible for creating the Concurcerto platform, a solution that uses AI to recommend highly personalised public tenders to companies in Portugal, processing large volumes of data efficiently.

Granter.ai has developed an AI platform that helps companies find and apply for grants. It uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning to match companies with suitable grants, write applications, and provide expert analysis.

ImpactWave proposes a virtual assistant that uses AI to help farmers make informed decisions about their crops.

OWL creates ‘digital twins’ of buildings using AI, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and geospatial data. These digital models assess environmental impact and sustainability.

Purr.ai is an AI platform that uses vast databases and algorithms to design peptide therapies for neurological diseases in the elderly. It offers a personalised approach, taking advantage of AI and HPC for fast processing.

QuickTrend develops AI tools for simulator racing (RaceCrewAI) and real-world motorsports (RaceEngineerAI). These tools offer data analysis, strategy optimisation and real-time race feedback.

In an attempt to optimise the care provided to users, SafeCaring has developed an AI solution that automates care management processes in healthcare settings, reducing the administrative burden on staff.

TalentAlert is a platform that uses AI and big data analysis to identify emerging talent in football (under-23) for the transfer market.

About ATTRACT
The ATTRACT DIH project is part of the European Digital Innovation Hub network, which brings together the country's leading research and technology transfer centres to support the digital transition underway in Portugal and Europe. The consortium is led by INESC-TEC and has a network of 24 partners experienced in AI and HPC, including IPN. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU programme and the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
