Instituto Pedro Nunes receives delegations from CULTIV and IN3D on an international cooperation visit

On September 7 and 8, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received a visit from representatives of CULTIV and IN3D, as part of the Innovation Support Programme (ISP).
The CULTIV delegation from Cairo, Egypt, included Hesham Wahby. During the visit, Hesham Wahby took part in meetings with UC Business, where he had the opportunity to learn more about the model of knowledge transfer between universities and the business sector. In addition, he closely followed the work of the Coimbra Space Summer School.

Representing IN3D was Mohamed Abd El Salam. IN3D is a company specialising in the manufacture of 3D printers and 3D printed products, with applications ranging from dentistry to jewellery and shoe manufacturing. During his visit, Mohamed Abd El Salam took part in meetings with FABLAB in Penela, the Portuguese Footwear Technology Centre, IPN's Testing, Wear and Materials Laboratory (LED&MAT), as well as with employees from IPN's accounting, incubation and legal departments.
The Innovation Support Programme aims to support incubators, science and technology parks and other similar organisations in the public and private sectors by developing the implementation of collaborative projects with the Southern Neighbourhood countries (ISP-Southern Neighbourhood).
The Innovation Support Programme for The Southern Neighbourhood is an initiative of the European Investment Bank (EIB), brokered by INTEGRATION International Management Consultants GmbH, of Frankfurt, Germany.
