Digital Transformation as a Management Strategy for SMEs in Euroace Region
Challenge
Conecta Pyme Project aims to develop a crossborder support system to SMEs in Euroace region (Center, Alentejo and Extremadura) to incorporate technologies and strategies to Digital transformation that improve SMEs competitiveness.
For that it will be developed activities, programs and tools that contribute to promote Innovation and competitiveness in companys through the application of technology. These initiatives will also contribute to the development of new business projects based on the digital economy. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies, giving priority to promoting entrepreneurship, thus facilitating the development of new ideas and boosting the creation of new companies, through, for example, business incubators.
Solution
The main objective of this project is to improve the necessary and favourable conditions for the increase of new business initiatives.
Objectives, Activities and Results expected / achieved
Specific Objectives:
• Promote the training and qualification of human resources in companies, adapting them to new professional profiles, and adapting them to new business models;
• Increase the productivity and competitiveness of companies in the Euroace space, incorporating technological improvements that optimize production processes and business strategies, generating higher growth rates and job creation;
• Promote business cooperation through a network of contacts between companies, the development of tools and collaborative environments and the transfer and exchange of knowledge that promote the incorporation of digital technologies and processes in companies.
This project arises in response to the new challenges generated by the digital society. Democratization and the optimization of access to information have forced the need for companies to adapt to new technologies that respond to the demands that new markets place on a global level.
