Coimbra Invest Summit returns on 2 and 3 July

Coimbra is once again establishing itself as one of Portugal's main innovation and investment hubs with the 2025 edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit (Coimbra IS), scheduled for the 2nd and 3rd of July at the Convento São Francisco. This event, created in 2023 and already a benchmark, maintains its mission to strengthen Coimbra's entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem and reinforce its attractiveness to national and international investors, with a special focus on the Tech, Health, Space and Tourism clusters.
Coimbra IS is organised by the Municipality of Coimbra, in partnership with the University of Coimbra (UC), the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) and iParque, and its third edition will take place on 2 and 3 July 2025. As in previous years, the event will have an exclusive first day reserved for invited guests, which will include moments such as the meeting of the Municipal Strategic Council for the Development of Coimbra, activities aimed at the city's Ambassador Network and the Business Merit Recognition Gala.
On the second day, open to the public and free to attend (upon registration), Coimbra IS will be marked by an intense and dynamic programme, with panel discussions, lectures, workshops and networking moments, culminating in a large sunset party to celebrate Coimbra's innovative spirit and enjoy the best of summer.
One of the highlights of the Coimbra Invest Summit 2025 will be the final of INEO Start, an acceleration programme promoted by Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), which supports technology-based ideas and projects. This initiative lasts four weeks and gives participants access to training workshops, mentoring with experts and networking opportunities, with the aim of structuring businesses, expanding contact networks and identifying sources of funding.
The 2024 edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit was a huge success, with over 1,000 participants. According to a satisfaction survey carried out by the organisation, 58.2% of respondents rated the experience as excellent and 36.4% as good, with 100% of participants recommending the event to friends and colleagues.
For 2025, the Coimbra Invest Summit reinforces its focus on the Tech, Health and Space clusters and adds the Tourism cluster, all strategic sectors for the development of the municipality and the region.
The full programme will be announced shortly, as will the opening of registration for participants and for the showcase of companies and institutions.
