Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) hosted a group of students from the
Avelar Brotero High School, as part of the Citizenship and Development project, on 14 January of 2025.
The group, composed of students in the area of Economic and Social Sciences, had the opportunity to watch a presentation of IPN, carried out by
Marta Salgado Costa, Marketing and Communication Manager. During the presentation, the various branches of the institute were addressed, including the development of scientific research projects, the organisation of acceleration programmes for business ideas such as
Ineo Start, and the
Summer@IPN non-curricular internships.
Meanwhile
Alexandre Almeida, Incubation Project Manager, presented a perspective on how IPN’s
Business Incubator supports innovative ideas to become legitimate businesses. He also highlighted the various support services for companies such as physical and virtual incubation, accounting services, support in funding applications and access to a network of potential partners and investors.
This visit aimed to broaden the students’ horizons regarding the opportunities and support for entrepreneurship in the Region of Coimbra, as well as to share the work carried out by IPN in the field of scientific research and innovation.
