Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) welcomed a group of ten students from the
Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) programme at
Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.
Between 6 and 14 January 2025, the students took part in an intensive course that combines academic knowledge with real-world business challenges, promoting a dynamic learning environment.
As part of the course, the participants worked actively with three startups incubated at IPN,
Ionic Health,
Ethiack and
Fibersight. The focus of this collaboration was on solving specific challenges faced by the startups, such as analysing new markets, identifying competitors, developing a pricing strategy, among others.
This partnership brought mutual benefits: while the students developed practical skills and applied theoretical knowledge to real scenarios, the startups received strategic insights and valuable contributions to their growth and development.
