Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) hosted a delegation from the Italian city of Perugia, as part of the European exchange project “City-to-City Exchange”, on 13 of December of 2024.
The delegation, accompanied by
Nuno Pomar of the
Intermunicipal Community of the Region of Coimbra (CIM Coimbra), was welcomed by
Carla Duarte, IPN’s Innovation Manager, who presented the institute, through a presentation which highlighted the
Ineo Start and
ESA BIC Portugal programmes, aimed at supporting entrepreneurship in the region, as well as the
Digilife project, the
Coimbra Space Summer School and
Summer@IPN, training initiatives created to promote professional qualification and the development of skills.
This visit took place as part of the European project “City-to-City Exchange”, coordinated by the
European Urban Initiative, with the objective to establish new synergies between Coimbra and Perugia, focusing in areas such as retention of young talent, the valorisation of universities as innovation hubs and the promotion of urban sustainability and inclusivity policies.
