Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is expanding its team and is looking for a
Client and Partnership Manager for the Testing and Validation Unit of Medical Devices. The Unit supports the management and implementation of pre-clinical and pilot studies including Clinical Investigation management (ISO 14155:2020), Formative and Summative Usability (IEC 62366-1), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Pre-Testing, among others. This role will be responsible for supporting and managing clients and the team's in hospitals' environments.
Responsibilities:
- Client management and effective communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients involved in studies, providing regular and transparent updates on study progress, and promptly addressing any client expectations and concerns;
- Provide support to startups in plan definition and evaluate the requirements for the clinical investigation studies of medical devices;
- Plan and oversee clinical investigation studies of medical devices within the partners (hospitals) and startups;
- Manage and conduct clinical outputs for concept validation, usability testing and other clinical studies in hospital environment, based on applicable regulation;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical studies protocols;
- Monitor and report on the progress of clinical studies;
- Manage clinical study documentation and data in accordance with Annex XV of Regulation EU 2017/745 (MDR) and ISO 14155 - Clinical investigation of medical devices for human subjects — Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Requirements:
- Degree in Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or similar areas;
- Previous experience in clinical investigation of medical devices;
- Knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to clinical studies of medical devices;
- Ability for managing projects and working independently;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English;
- Experience in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for health and well-being.
Preferred factors:
- Understanding of the Medtech and digital health value-chains and market access in Europe.

- Strong sense of responsibility for achieving objectives and meeting deadlines;
- Excellente communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to bt technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to lead and work in collaboration with a team made up of a variety of professionals with different backgrounds and expertise;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify potential risks and challenges and propose effective solutions;
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements;
- Positive attitude, self-motivation and willingness to learn and improve;
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
