Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is looking for a System Administration/Helpdesk Technician to join the Cybersecurity and Digital Infrastructure Department (DCID) team. This is an opportunity for recent graduates and/or professionals in the beginning of their career that want to develop their skills in systems and network administration.

Tasks:
  • Helpdesk and troubleshooting for hardware, software, printing system and multimedia systems;
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of network services in Linux and Windows environments;
  • Monitoring of systems and networks infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Training in Computer Engineering or Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) in the area of Networks and Computer Systems;
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting operating Systems and applications on Windows and macOS;
  • Knowledge of installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware;
  • Knowledge in implementing, maintaining and configuring wired and Wi-Fi network services.
Preferred factors:
  • Experience/knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox);
  • Experience in configuring, administering and diagnosing Linux and Windows server systems;
  • Experience in containers (docker);
  • Administration of monitoring tools (Zabbix).
