On September 19, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) was visited by a delegation led by Yuta Iguchi, COO of Million Steps, a Japanese company specialising in identifying business opportunities and partnerships for startups.
The visit, organised by the Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (AICEP), began with an introduction to AICEP's activities and missions. Next, Rui Miranda, Accelerator Manager at IPN, presented the institute and its significant contribution to the startup ecosystem in Portugal.
This was followed by a presentation by Yuta Iguchi, who shared his vast experience in facilitating partnerships between Japanese startups and foreign companies. Yuta Iguchi emphasised the increasing openness of the Japanese market to foreign companies.
The visit continued with presentations by several incubated startups, namely Spotlite, Enging, Sensing Future Technologies and Science 351.
