On March 10th , Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) received the visit of the French Ambassador to Portugal, Hélène Farnaud-Defromont, who was accompanied by the Counselor for cooperation and cultural action of the Embassy, Dominique Deprieste, and by the President of the Alliance Française of Coimbra and honorary consul, Cristina Robalo Cordeiro.
The visit, which was led by the Vice-President of the IPN Board of Directors, Amílcar Cardoso, allowed the presentation of the IPN ecosystem and the institution's valances.
Hélène Farnaud-Defromont visited the Laboratory of Automatics and Systems (LAS), during which António Cunha, Executive Director of LAS, presented its main projects, namely the Trainr4U project. This project, which allowed the creation of a European distance learning course for medical education in abdominal ultrasound, is developed with international experts in the medical area, including French partners of the Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris.
Lastly, Ana Seguro, Manager of the Business Incubator, presented the facilities and valences of the IPN-Incubator, which was recently distinguished by UBI Global as one of the ten Best Incubators in the World, in the University Business Incubators category.
