EIT Health InnoStars is one of the seven geographical areas of EIT Health. It covers half of Europe, including Hungary, Italy, Poland and Portugal, as well as additional regions included in the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme – Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Romania. Headquartered in Budapest, EIT Health InnoStars brings together 22 Core and Associate Partners. Together with them, we are focused on promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and education in the domain of healthcare, healthy living and active ageing, also we are concentrating on closing the gap between regions that are leaders in innovation and those regions which are still progressing.
In order to prepare startups for the competition InnoStars Awards, the project includes the development of a training bootcamp, onlin7 for the selected 15 start-ups in July and in September of 2020.
The main target of the bootcamp is to provide high-quality training in business plan modelling, deal negotiation and pitch training. The target group is startups supported by InnoStars in the framework of InnoStars Awards.
InnoStars Awards is a training and competition program in which 15 early stage companies and SMEs receives 25 000 € funding as smart money for business development and product validation.
The bootcamp included three-day training periods in July and September. The goal of the bootcamps was to provide the fundamental qualitative and quantitative skills of launching a business and obtaining funding from investors. The training being a relatively mature version of a traditional bootcamp with more focus on pitching and international market validation.
The ultimate goal was to develop a structured plan with the objectives of refining the business model and pitching.
Thus, 6 sessions with a minimum duration of 48 hours were held over 6 days.
