Innovation in Wine and Vineyard Rows
Challenge
Increase the overall competitiveness of the wine sector through the development of new products and services for vineyard rows and wine, focused on reducing costs and increasing grape and wine quality.
Solution
Three systems were developed under the scope of the InovWine project, as follows:
- System for vine genotyping, selection and certification to guarantee the origin and quality of vines in the vineyard and in vine nursery output
- System for the control and remote monitoring of biotic and abiotic factors associated with vineyards, based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). This system will feed the automatic risk detection, alert and prevention of vineyards pests
- System comprised of a collection of wine yeasts adapted to regional conditions and market requirements and a device for monitoring their dynamics during fermentation
