Ultrasound (US) is often the first line of imaging used in medical diagnoses. Ultrasonography is a formal training in some specialties, but there are usually no standards for this training in general practitioners. According to the WHO, training is a priority, as it is a significant benefit in the health area, which will result from improved skills in the performance and interpretation of US exams. It is increasingly proven that many practitioners do not have this adequate experience.
The main result will be an increase in the number of professionals trained in US exams, capable of providing better, safer and more accurate care for their patients diagnoses.
TrainR4U will create a new approach to provide high quality and standardized medical professional training in this area. TrainR4U will extend e-learning tools with an additional degree of interaction (hands-on training with expert feedback) to improve skills acquisition for good use of ultrasound.
