Gas leaks can happen in any domestic, commercial or industrial facility at any time, creating safety hazards and the risk of accidents. Such leakage can also lead to energy waste by occurring in silence for long periods of time.
This project aimed to develop an innovative product concept for implementation in the gas market (natural, propane and butane). Its use is primarily domestic but can be applied to the industrial sector and in the detection of other gases used in industrial environments.

The system developed consists of a small gas leak detector. This type of leak is difficult for users to detect but over time can significantly increase their gas bills. Beyond the ability to detect small leaks, this system is also able to generate leak alarms, both by sound alarm and SMS. The system is fully automatic and contains a button for disabling the leak alarm and to conduct leak tests at the user's request.
