Coimbra Sustainability Summit 2020

Challenge

 As Innovation Agents, we need to do our part to address the societal challenges facing the planet and at least try to address some of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations in 2015. The vision of this Summit was to discuss how new technology intercepts can support effective work and economic growth by creating new partnerships to achieve these goals, in the areas of Health, Agri-Food, Manufacturing and Sustainable Cities.

Solution

 During the event, organised by IPN as part of its participation in the DIATOMIC project, growth opportunities were explored at the intersection of four areas of digitisation considered key to growth: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things and Cyber Security (4 KETs), trying to demonstrate how the combination of elements of these technologies can meet the needs of the four application domains.
