EUROACE is characterized by being a Euroregion with a large and sparsely populated territory. The low density population, its aging and rurality are the main geographic characteristics of this area. Its business market is composed of small companies, linked to sectors with low added value, mainly from the agro-food sector and proximity services. The scarce industrialization is not concentrated in well-defined clusters and the industrial activity is very decentralized from the research, technology and innovation standards, which are located in population centers, whose economic specialization is more linked to the service sector.
CETEIS aims to design and pilot an organizational and inter-institutional model, based on cooperation, co-creation among community members, and quality.
There are three areas of action in this model: spaces, community, and services. CETEIS´s partners promote spaces to which is based or congregated the community of entrepreneurs and innovators of the Euro-region, for which the project proposes advanced and specialized services that contribute to a more innovative entrepreneurial activity, with greater growth potential, generating quality employment, more collaborative and socially responsible.
