Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) is looking for a
Junior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to integrate the team of the Informatics and Systems Lab (LIS). This is an opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to develop their skills in AI, particularly in large language models (LLMs).
Functions:
- Supporting the development and implementation of AI solutions, with emphasis on LLMs;
- Contributing to the research and experimentation of new language models and algorithms;
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate AI solutions into the lab’s projects;
- Conducting data analysis and preparing reports with insights to support decision-making;
- Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields;
- Basic knowledge of machine learning and learning frameworks;
- Interest in natural language processing (NLP) and large language models;
- Programming skills in Python or another relevant language;
- Ability to work as a team and a willingness to learn and grow in the field;
- Good communication, writing and problem-solving skills;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and oral).
