MATEREO joins the Spanish accelerator programme
Incubation

The company MATEREO, incubated in Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) and in the ESA BIC programme, has been selected for the acceleration programme of Lanzadera, a Spanish technological accelerator belonging to Marina de Empresas, driven by the president of Mercadona, Juan Roig.

The startup is participating in the Traction Phase, one of the four phases that make up the programme, aimed at companies with invoicing and product in the market, lasting four months. Expanding the business to Spanish territory is only one of the advantages of the programme, which also offers the opportunity to learn and apply the Total Quality model, developed by Juan Roig. With the integration in the programme, one of MATEREO's objectives is the creation of a remunerated pilot project with the companies associated to Lanzadera.

João Gabriel Silva, President of the IPN Board of Directors, recognises that "it is with great satisfaction that we see companies from the IPN ecosystem being recognised by this type of international organisations. It values the work developed in the IPN Incubator, because helping companies to have international quality is one of our central objectives. These successes are also the best calling card for our ability to attract new national and international projects."

MATEREO is a technology startup dedicated to collecting and analysing data on the current state and evolution of bridges and other critical infrastructure on a single web platform.

"We are very pleased to join Lanzadera's accelerator programme. The resources of this accelerator are unmatched and we are looking forward to working and driving the growth of our company," says Jorge Alexandre Vieira, CEO of MATEREO.

The Spanish business accelerator Lanzadera offers mentorship, resources and access to investors for innovative projects. This is the first time the accelerator is looking for companies outside Spain and Matereo was one of those selected among a batch of 15 Portuguese startups.
